Hi everyone, It's been such a long time since I updated you all on whats been going on, but I've been working so hard everyday at the same thing, and I didn't want to bombard you with the same repetitive details... ;) HOWEVER...it's definitely about time I did one of these blogs, as it would feel wrong going on without keeping you guys in the loop! Thank you for being so patient!!

THE STUDIO

Me and the team made a decision in September last year to get all of my music finished before I released anything else, and since then I've been managing the production and completion process of an amazing 20 songs! Its been a HUGE amount of work, but it's crucial that I have everything finished before I take my next important step. My first album, all of my future singles , my B sides (and everything else!) will all be taken from these 20 songs, so it's been SUPER important and pretty intense, but also amazing to hear everything come together and to know that my album is nearly finished!! I won't get the chance to go back and do these tracks again once i get going, so this is it!

15 of the 20 songs are totally new. I played a few of them live at my gig in Paris in November and at the BBC Introducing gig I did the other week for Radio Kent. The other 5 songs are ones that I've  had for a while, and will all be released as updated, definitive versions. I cant wait for those of you who have followed me from the start to hear which tracks have survived the competition from the new songs as well as the new songs themselves of course!! I'm in the final stages of mixing now, so I promise it won't be long before you can start hearing things!

MUSIC FOR YOU

About 3 months ago, my "Shot you down" video was seen by some pop music lovers at Sony Consumer Electronics in Japan, and they were kind enough to ask me to come up with a piece of music and a song that they could use in a new campaign for some swanky new headphones that will go Europe wide. They also asked me to be in it too! I was given creative control of the film so I was able to choose a concept I was happy with and all that sort of stuff. I wanted to use the opportunity to make a cool performance video. The music me and the guys (Tim, Luke, Lee and Annie) came up with is really upbeat, quirky and different, so I wanted to do something fun too. Sony needed a 30 second and a 60 second film for the campaign, but I really wanted you guys to be able to hear the full track. So, I decided to use my fee to edit together a full length video of the track just for you...this will be coming soon!! While you wait, you can have a sneaky listen to a snippet of the track below...I hope you like it!!

Gigs, gigs, gigs! I've recently announced that over the next couple of months I'll be playing gigs in Spain and France (plus Berlin and Amsterdam - stand by for more info!). But I know there are so many of you, in lots other countries, who also keep asking me to come and play. I really want to get out there and play for as many of you as possible! BUT... the further away you are, the more expensive it is to get to you. In order to get the promoters in your country excited I'm gonna need your help.

I've never wanted to ask any of you to tell your friends about me before, but if all of you introduce me and my music to just ONE of your friends, who then go on to 'like' me on Facebook, then that would double the number of fans in your country... double the amount of people that could come to a gig, and make it far easier for me to come and play for you!!

You have already given me a great international following (YOU GUYS!), and at the moment I get to play in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, but I want to go further and spread this all over the world. So if you wanna help out, please spread the word and #flyflorriefurther YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO. Let me know how you get on :D X
